Job Summary

The Legal Resources Manager will manage ACC resource projects and assist ACC’s Director of Legal Resources, to publish and offer best-in-class resources to its global community of in-house legal counsel - articles, guides, sample contracts, and other resources in written or other formats that ACC makes available to its members through various channels (such as the ACC website and its online Resource Library). The manager will work on identifying and monitoring key topic trends, and on the sourcing, production, publication, curation and management of resources and resource collections/sites, on topics relevant to in-house counsel’s practice and career, such as compliance, privacy, intellectual property, employment law, professional skills, diversity and inclusion, career development, and many other topic areas. 

A partial list of duties and responsibilities include:

  • Propose, manage and/or assist with the creation and update of resource collections/sites.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for the publication (or republication) of high-quality resources to ACC members, and for the development and implementation of Legal Resources projects.
  • Identify and manage writers and sponsors of first-class resources on topics at the heart of in-house practice.
  • Identify third-party resources of interest and manage their republication.
  • Draft, review, edit and/or upload content for publication and use by ACC.
  • Manage and implement the development of region-focused resources and resource-focused relationships for strategic regions, such as Europe, Asia-Pacific (Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, India), and the Middle East.

 What We Need From You

  • Bachelor’s degree. Legal education is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a role involving digital content production (such as writing, sourcing and editing original or third-party articles/content for online publication) on legal topics is required.
  • Understanding of the unique nature of in-house practice and issues confronting the global business community.
  • Writing Expertise: Excellent writing skills, able to produce and edit resources. Ability to write clearly and persuasively.  Ability to succinctly synthesize various sources.
  • Experience with content marketing. Able to promote resources.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
  • Project Management: Understands and applies principles of estimating, budgeting and work scheduling when managing projects. Understands expected outcomes and inspects work of others to ensure results match expectations before accepting work as final. Able to work within deadlines, create and sustain workflow, adjust when necessary, delegate responsibilities as needed, and work within a team atmosphere.
  • Technology: Effectively uses Internet and/or computer technology and demonstrates comfort with technological tools and concepts. Demonstrates familiarity with products, services, and online resources in the legal area.
  • Incumbent must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to get along with diverse constituencies.
