Trusts & Estates Paralegal | Houston, TXAn AmLaw 200 law firm in Houston is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to support a sophisticated estate planning, probate, and wealth planning practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a polished, detail-oriented paralegal with strong experience in estate planning and probate administration who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Compensation & Schedule:
Competitive compensation in the $80K - 100K range DOE, with flexibility for highly experienced candidates. This role offers a 4 days in-office / 1 day remote schedule, with remote eligibility typically available after approximately 90 days and potential flexibility sooner depending on the team. Annual billable requirement is 1,680 hours, with bonus eligibility tied to meeting that requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft estate planning documents, probate pleadings, and tax filings, including Forms 706, 709, and Texas Franchise Tax filings
- Manage probate administration and track key deadlines
- Maintain records for trusts, estates, LLCs, and partnerships
- Coordinate with courts and government entities
- Assist with document execution and client communications
- Conduct legal research and support real estate-related document review
- 5+ years of Trusts & Estates paralegal experience
- Strong background in both estate planning and probate administration
- Paralegal certificate required
- Exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, and organization
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work directly with attorneys and clients
- 40-hour work week with core hours of approximately 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Non-exempt role with overtime eligibility
- Discretionary bonus tied to performance and hours
- Flexible/discretionary PTO model
- Optional parking available at approximately $240/month
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
